FAQ

What are Labeille wraps made of?

Our wraps are made of 100% cotton. We then infuse the cotton with local beeswax ,organic jojoba oil, and Canadian tree resin. We do a 4 step process to ensure the quality of our wraps hold up to everyday use

How long do they last?

Your Labeille wrap will last you well over 100 uses! Scrunching your wrap over apples, lemons, avocados etc will get you at least 100 uses, while gently folding it over your food will keep your wrap lasting many moons. We also suggest to warm the wrap up in your hands before using it to activate the infusion of wax and oils which in turn make it more malleable. With at least 100 uses, it will only cost aprox .07 cents per use!

Are they fridge and freezer friendly?

Yes! Labeille wraps are excellent to use in the fridge and freezer. They are freezer friendly for up to 30 days. When you remove your wrapped item from the freezer be sure to let the wrap slightly thaw to room temperature before removing your stored item.

Pro tip: Store leftover cookie dough in roll form with your Labeille wrap. To use, just unwrap & cut the remaining dough into discs, then plop 'em on your cookie sheet! Who knew baking could be THAT easy?

What sizes do they come in?

Our wraps come in 3 sizes:

SMALL 7"x8"  : We love using our small wraps to cover bowls/plates. They're also excellent to for keeping avocados, lemons, and other small produce fresh!

MEDIUM 10"x11" : A cheese lovers BFF. Perfect for storing hard and soft cheeses of all kinds! Think of it as a secondary cheese rind. We also love the mediums for honeydew melons, green peppers, snack pouches, etc.

LARGE 13"x18" : The Queen of all wraps. This wrap does it all & then some! These large wraps work amazing to preserve artisan bread, seal over a casserole dish, wrap up celery, leafy greens like kale, and large produce like cabbage and broccoli. Feeling creative? Fold your large wrap into a handy dandy sandwich pouch and have the best looking lunch at the table.

Why does my beeswax wrap have lines and creases?

Lines and creases are normal from use. Did you know that the more you use your wrap, the infusion and tackiness improve? Just like a good wine our wraps get better with time.

Pro tip: Has your wrap seen better days? Rejuvenate your wrap by placing it on a baking sheet over top of parchment paper and leave it in the sun for a few hours. Et voila – good as new!

Are they washable?

Of course! Wipe down your wrap with a cool damp cloth and a bit of soap. Labeille wraps are naturally antibacterial and anti-fungal because of the unique properties of the beeswax and jojoba oils. Not only do they keep your food fresher for longer, they're also naturally self cleaning!

Are they microwave & dishwasher safe?

No, Labeille wraps are not meant to be used in the dishwasher or microwave as they are not heat safe. Heat + wax = A big nono

Are they edible?

No, Labeille wraps are not meant to be eaten. They are used in place of plastic wrap and tin foil.

Can you store raw meat in them?

No, Labeille wraps are not recommended to use with raw meat as you'd need high heat to properly kill bacteria after use.
